I was on the way to work when my entire wheel popped off of my car on the highway. I walked and searched for it for an hour or so and never found it. I ended getting off work that day and recording this. It's about that day, walking on eggshells, a kitty that died way too young.
lyrics
*phone conversation*
yolks between my toes
walking on your eggshells
crackle snap break
my knees shake
crumbling cookies on the antique plates that i made for you
sometimes you don't deserve them
sometimes you deserve more than i have to give
(speech i read at ezra the kitten's funeral)
as we know, all living things die to make room for new things to grow
but that doesn't change that ezra died way too soon
he will lay here forever
in the yard he loved
where he played with jenny and put a smile on all our faces
